Science of Living Institute
Our New United Palace Cathedral prepares to re-launch the Science of Living Institute. The Science of Living Institute, founded by The Reverend Dr. Frederick Eikerenkoetter,
(“Rev. Ike”) in 1966, will reopen its doors on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 for the 2012-2013 Fall Semester. In April, the Science of Living Institute (SLI) began Re-credentialing Training for its ministers. The Grand Re-opening of the SLI will take place on Wednesday, September 12th, from 4:00p.m. to 6:00p.m.
Offerings for the 2012-2013 academic year will include four programs for continuing education: Practitioner and Ministerial Re-credentialing; Life Enrichment Advancement Program (LEAP ); Worship Leader Training; and Prayer Chaplaincy Training.
The SLI will also offer two parenting classes, a week-long intensive training on “Study Technologies” for ministers, youth leaders/workers and staff ministers. Classes in Spanish and in English will be made available to the community.
The SLI will expand its courses in 2013-2014 to include Licensed Teachers Training Program (LTTP) and Ministerial Ordination Program (MOP). In additional to these, correspondence courses will be available for anyone desiring to study at home as well as online learning opportunities.

Under the leadership of Bishop Xavier Eikerenkoetter, UPC´s staff of over 40 Prayer Ministers administer spiritual, educational, and social programs for adults and youth alike.
