FROM POSSIBILITY PATH TO REALITY ROAD

When you believe in the Presence of God within you, you become God is action.

Two thousand eight has been an exciting year and we hope your journey of self-discovery has been rewarding and fruitful. Rev. Ike is excited to hear from each of you concerning what you have learned about yourself during these last eleven months.

Our next stop along our Self-Discovery journey with Rev. Ike is his teaching, “From Possibility Path to Reality Road” found in Chapter 11 of his Science of Living Study Guide. In addition to working with Chapter 11 of Rev. Ike’s Science of Living Study Guide we would like to offer you a second message from Rev. Ike entitled, How to Make Reality Out of Possibility.

How to Make Reality Out of Possibility

HOW TO MAKE REALITY OUT OF POSSIBILITY
This month I am talking about how to make reality out of possibility. One of the most exciting passages in the Bible, to me, is the passage that says, “With God all things are possible.” The possibilities of good are unlimited, but you have make reality out of possibility, for as long as good remains simply a possibility, it will do you no good.

Along with this verse of Scripture “With God all things are possible,” I think of another very exciting verse of Scripture, which is also from the lips of Jesus. “All things are possible to him who believes.”

I will tell you what I read between the lines. Noticing that with God all things are possible and that all things are possible to him who believes, I got this: the person, who believes, is God in action.

When I believe, I am God in action. Please read this affirmation aloud to your subconscious mind.

Affirmation #1
When I believe, I am God in action.

With God, all things are possible. Jesus said that. With God, all things are possible. However, it does not stop there. All things are possible to him who believes. Are those two different people? No. These statements tell you also of the oneness of God in man and remember what Jesus says, “I and My Father are one.”

The greatest delusion of man is that he thinks that he is separate from God. In fact, that is the only sin there is. Every other sin comes from this one. Every other breach of ethics and morality comes from this first delusion. Therefore, if one believes in his oneness with God, all things are possible to him. God does not know you as something apart. The Infinite does not know you as something apart from Itself. That is interesting to think of.

Affirmation #2
The Infinite does not know me as someone apart from Itself.

I do not know whether you have ever stopped to think about this, but God believes in you. Please read this affirmation aloud several times.

Affirmation #3
God believes in me.

When you, as an individual expression of the Infinite, believe in the Infinite and the Infinite believes in you, a connection of faith and power is unstoppable. I believe in God, God believes in me. I want you to use the Power of your spoken word to repeat this affirmation aloud.

Affirmation #4
I believe in God and God believes in me.

This is the starting point of making reality out of possibility, knowing the basis of your power. My oneness with the Infinite is my basis of power. Please read this to yourself aloud.

Affirmation #5
My oneness with the Infinite is my basis of power.

Jesus, the individual, keeps telling us of his identity with the Infinite Father because all of the miracles that He performed, all of the good works that He did, He says, “This is my Father working through me.” The Father that dwells in me does the work.” When I believe in the presence of God within me, I become God in action. When I believe in the goodness of God within me, when I believe in the intelligence of God within me, I become God in action. In all of your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path.

I have had many beautiful experiences since preparing this message: beautiful experiences of people making reality out of possibility. One experience particularly sticks out in my memory; I was window-shopping in Beverly Hills when a young Black man came over to me; he seemed very excited and enthused as he said, “Oh, Reverend Ike, he said, I wanted to talk to you. I want to tell you what happened to me when I started watching to you on television.” He continued, “My father brought me here to Los Angeles some years ago, and when we got here, he had $12.00 in his pocket, that’s all he had.” Finally, I got a job, and I before long I was making $500.00 a week. Then I began to see you on television, and you told us about the presence of God within us, and the possibility of God within us, and the power of our mind. Right then and there, I decided that I wanted to make some real money.”

Remember, back in the day I took the stigma off money; I am one preacher that did not and does not bad mouth money. The young man rushed on, “I decided to start a building maintenance company, and I decided I wanted some really big, prestigious buildings that I would service with my company.” As we stood there on the streets of Beverly Hills, he began pointing to several large and prestigious buildings. He said, “I have contracts with other buildings also. Reverend Ike, I can hardly believe it,” he says, “but right now, today, I am making ten thousand dollars a month.” He was so enthusiastic until we just about started a halleluiah meeting right there on that corner in Beverly Hills.

That young man made reality out of possibility. If you simply go around saying, “With God, all things are possible,” without doing something it will not change your situation. You have to become God in action. That young man realized first, it is possible for me to make big money, second, he accepted that possibility for himself. You must accept the possibility of the good that you desire.

Affirmation #6
It is possible for me to make big money; therefore, I accept the possibility of the good that I desire.

Always accept the possibility of the good you desire. Now here comes the miracle: once you accept an idea in your mind, and you open your mind to other right ideas, an inflow of correlating ideas begin to take place. Everything you need begins to come to you and the right people begin to come to you.

More often than not, I say that doors close in people’s faces because of their attitude more than any other reason, and when doors open, they open because of your attitude.

He and his Father arrived in Los Angeles with $12.00 between them and he said, “Now my company is making $10,000 a month.” My God, that is Fantasy Island!

I have covered these most important points informally but now I want to lay out the process plainly.

Step #1: Open your mind to the possibility of the good that you desire.
The first thing you do is open your mind to the possibility of the good that you desire. As long as you do not believe it is possible, you will continue to be out of luck. The moment you begin to feel like a loser, you lose. Know that you really cannot be a loser unless somewhere down in your psyche, you have a losing feeling that serves as a hole through which all of your good slips right out.

Here is a common example. For example, when you begin feeling unsure of yourself and begin imagining that your spouse is cheater on you, you are subconsciously giving him or her that idea. Most of the time he or she is not thinking about cheating, but by worrying about it, your spouse begins getting those vibes, you see. You are going make a reality out of that possibility. Always open your mind to the possibility of good for your life not the possibility the bad.

Now, here is an assignment. I want you to think for a moment about the three things that you desire the most. Next, I want you to enumerate all of these things in a long list. After my meditation time, I begin to write immediately the information I receive. We are dealing with more than the intellect here.

Step #2: Immediately begin to visualize the good that you desire; see it already established, perfect and complete, with the eye of the mind.
After you accept the possibility of the good that you desire, immediately begin to believe in the possibility of that good, and you will become God in action, God will begin to act in you, through you and as you, to bring about the materialization of that good that you desire. Immediately begin to visualize it, to see it, already established, perfect and complete, with the eye of the mind. In your mind, begin to enjoy that good that you want to be, to do and to have. I will make a very simple materialistic example now.

If it is a car you desire, decide what kind you want. You must do that. I find the number one reason people don’t get that they want is because they don’t know what they want.

Even the Infinite wants to know that. In Mark 10:47-52 Jesus met a blind man whose was crying out by the roadside, “Jesus, thou son of David have mercy on me.” Jesus yells outs, “Tell me what is it that you want me to do for you?” Now perhaps there were some intellectuals standing around, who said, “Oh, listen to that crazy Jesus. The man is blind; he ought to know a blind man wants to be healed and to have his sight.” You see you cannot take the Infinite for granted. With God, all things are possible, but do not take the Infinite for granted.

What did Jesus ask the blind man? In this case, Jesus represents the Infinite power, the Infinite possibility. What is it that you want me to do for you? What do you want? Do you want a house? What kind of house do you want? Do you really want any kind of house? That is why you do not have ahouse. The Infinite does not know what any house is.

You say you want a car. What kind of car do you want? Do you want any car? Again, even the Infinite cannot answer that. The Infinite must become definite and you must be definite with the Infinite.

Affirmation #7
I must be definite with the Infinite.

These instructions are all a part of making reality out of possibility. In making reality out of possibility, you must be definite with the Infinite. If you are not definite with the Infinite, you will not make progress toward the good you desire. The Infinite can as easily give you a million dollars as It can a thousand dollars. However, the Infinite can only give you what you have conditioned your individual consciousness to receive. If you believe you are only worth five-hundred dollars there is no point in asking for one million dollars—realize, what you believe resides in your subconscious so it does not matter what you think consciously. You can only be what you condition your subconscious mind to be. You can only do what you condition your subconscious mind to do. You can only have what you condition your subconscious mind to have. You must condition your subconscious mind to receive. Number one, you must believe in the possibility of the good that you desire. Then you must define exactly what you want, and begin to visualize it, because you cannot even visualize having what you want, doing what you want to do and being what you want, until you answer, “…What is it that you want me to do for you?”

It is worth my mentioning it at this point; the Infinite is not going to make your decisions. Some people are both spiritually and mentally lazy, they don’t want to use what God has given to them. The Bible tells you plainly, “God has given us the spirit of power and of love, and of a sound mind,” the power of decision is yours and you can’t get out of using it. However if you choose not to make a decision, someone else will make the decision for you and you will get what that person believes you deserve. Ouch!

Step #3: After you decide what you want, see yourself with it.
Now after you decide what you want, see yourself with it. For example, if car you want a new car, begin to see yourself sitting in it, feel yourself driving it, and be sure you identify with it, or somebody else will get it. I love to tell the story about Mr. Kinney because it demonstrates this point so beautifully. One day I drove up to my home in a brand new Rolls-Royce Corniche, silver blue and navy blue, and he said, “Oh, Reverend, that’s just the car I visualized, I began visualizing it last week.” I said, “Ah, hah, you must have just visualized the car, you didn’t visualize yourself with it.” “No I didn’t, so,” he said, “you got it instead.”

In addition, many times people find it easier to see other people with things than to see themselves with these things. I have heard people say, “That’s not for me, that’s for rich people like the Rockefellers.”

When you visualize, you nail yourself right down to what it is that you want. See yourself in that car, see yourself in that house, and see yourself being, doing and having the good that you desire.

Mind Power Treatment in December

I open my mind to the greatest and happiest possibilities of God-in-me.

I see the greatest and happiest possibilities of good for everyone, everything and myself.

I see the greatest and happiest possibilities of health for everyone and for myself.

With God health and healing are possible because healing is revealing the wholeness of God.

Good health is the wholeness of God.

God-in-me is my health right now and for eternity. This realization is a healing, health-keeping power to me, everyone who thinks of me and of whom I think.

Thank you God-in-me for health, strength and healing.

I see the greatest possibilities of happiness for everyone and for myself.

In God, happiness is a reality to me as I open my mind to happiness.

Affirmation for December 2008

Use the Power of your spoken word to say these Affirmations for yourself at least twice every day throughout this month of Decmeber:

When I believe, I am God in action.

God believes in me.

The Infinite does not know me as someone apart from Itself.

It is possible for me to have what I want; therefore, I accept the possibility of the good that I desire.

I quickly substitute every negative thought and action with the good desire I expect.

I solve people’s problems; therefore, they pay me well.

I am successful because I made up my mind to be successful.

I am prosperous because I made up my mind to be prosperous.

I make decision easily because I know what I want and I see myself with it NOW.

I believe in God and God believes in me.

Every day I am a blessing to myself and to others.

My oneness with the Infinite is my basis of power.

Now go forth into December knowing and believing as you see yourself with the good that you desire, it must present itself in your life experience. In Proverbs 10:22 the Scriptures say, “The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he adds no sorrow with it.” As 2008 draws to a close, rejoice in the things you have created and begin planning for all the good you desire in 2009. There is only one economy and that is God’s Economy, Thought. Remember, your good comes to you according to your Faith through planning and by taking the corresponding actions. I believe in you and God believes in you too!
