What is Your Financial Psychology?

Everything is a condition of the mind.  The idea comes first and then the manifestation of that idea.  You cannot be, you cannot do, and you cannot have anything until you first have the idea of it in your mind.

The next stop on our Kingdom Within Journey takes us to Rev. Ike’s teaching, “What is Your Financial Psychology?” found in Chapter 14 of his Science of Living Study Guide. The Ears of Money

I want to talk with you on a very important subject, “The Ears of Money.” Some of you may be surprised to know that money has ears. Nonetheless, money does. 

I have discovered things about money that nobody else knew. The more you understand money, the more it will come to you.  Money has feminine qualities.  If you talk badly about money, money will not come your way.  Money hears what you say about it, because money, like anything else, is a psychic vibration.

Money is a subconscious process. People who have money-trouble always wonder why. However, when you listen to what they say, they are having money trouble, because they are using their big mouths to talk money away from them.  You can talk money into your life or you can talk money out of your life. The choice is yours.

Here is something else I found out about money. Money knows how you feel about it. Money has the intuition of a woman.  Women are generally more intuitive than men are.  Women just know things.  A woman knows when her man is fooling around well before she finds that lipstick on his collar. Money knows how you feel about it, and the way you feel about money, the way you think about money and the way you talk about money determines your experience with money.

There is an Irish proverb that I want you to take note of it. “Money swore an oath that nobody that did not love her, should ever have her.” Now I know what some of you good religious people are saying, “Rev. Ike, but you know the Bible says that the love of money is the root of all evil.” I am here to tell you that I disagree with the Apostle Paul 100% on that issue.  I have discovered that it is not the love of money that’s the root of all evil, it is the lack of money that is the root of all evil.  I have seen more people suffer from the lack of money than I have from the love of money. The next thing is money does not corrupt you.  I have had people say to me, “Yeah, but Rev. Ike, maybe if I had so much money, I wouldn’t love the Lord like I should.” Let me tell you, I can always love the Lord better when I have money to meet my needs.  When I have money in my pocket, money in my bank account, money so that I can have a decent car to ride in, money so that I can have decent clothes, money that I can give to the causes that I believe in, I can love the Lord a whole lot better. 

When I was in high school, and lunch was seven cents a day, and I didn’t have the seven cents, and my stomach was saying hello to my backbone and growling to me, while I was trying to study my lessons, I couldn’t think about loving the Lord much.  Money has never come between God and me. The more I prosper, the more I love Him.

Affirmation #1
The more I prosper, the more I love God.

To serve God correctly, in this society, you need money.  What good are you to God if you don’t have money? What good are you to yourself?  You need money for everything. Money responds to a person according to the way that person thinks, feels and speaks about money.  You cannot say some things about money because that will talk money away from you. Never say money is hard to get.  Money will hear you and get hard to get.

You know, even the Bible said, “Thou art ensnared by the words of thy mouth.”  (Proverbs 6:2) If you say money is hard to get, you’re putting the whammy on yourself. Never think and say that money is evil, sinful, or filthy, like some people call money, “filthy lucre.” 

Never say, “I can’t hold any money” or “money is slow.” Money will hear you and stay away from you.  Instead, here are the words that I want you to use. Turn your thinking and your speaking around and say, “Money loves me.”

Affirmation #2
Money loves me.

I dare you to repeatedly affirm aloud, “Money loves me,” the next thirty-days; before that thirty-days is over, when you think this, say this, believe this, and practice this; you’re going to have an exciting new experience with money.  From this moment on, if you change your mind about money, you’re going to change your experience about money. You’re going to have a different experience with money than you ever had.  Remember again that the Bible says, “Be you transformed by the renewing of your mind” (Romans 12:2).  If you want a new experience with money, you have to change your mind about money. You have to change your talk about money. You have to change your feeling about money. Money loves me. I believe these words are true. You take the time to work with these words and it’s going to do wonders for you.

Money loves to come into my hands.

Affirmation #4
Money loves to fill my bank accounts.

You have heard that old saying, “Talk about the devil and he will appear.” The same thing applies to money. Mind Science is the basis of this old statement. Talk about bad luck and you have more bad luck.  Talk about how bad things are and things get worse. Talk about how broke you are, and you become more broke. Instead, talk about how money loves you. Set yourself up to magnetize yourself for money, you will become a money magnet.

Affirmation #5
I am a Money magnet.

If you lift up the right idea of money in your mind, you will become a money magnet and you will draw money. You will be surprised where it comes from. Daily I read mail received from my Boston office. I receive letters from Canada, letters from Africa; I get letters from around the world—some of these letters come from the poorest places—but when these people get turned on to the right understanding of money and God within them, they have a better experience with money and they send me money from those places. 

So stop bad-mouthing money and get turned on to the idea in your mind that money loves you. Money just loves to fill your bank accounts. 

Let me present one last idea. Every time you pass a bank, I want you to notice it. I want to you affirm aloud, MONEY LOVES ME!

As you move through this month of March, strive to guard your heart, the subconscious mind, and your conscious mind against negative, self-defeating thoughts. Gently guide your mind away from entertaining emotions of financial lack, fear, aggravation, irritation, and disgust. Allow Faith and Love to lift you to your highest place of the Most High. Take these words with you and allow them to give you Peace and Hope:

Now the Presence and the Power, the love and the joy, the healing and the good health, the courage and the strength, the success and the prosperity, all of the unlimited good that God is, go with you, above you and beneath you, beside you, around you, behind you, within you and before you to make smooth, beautiful and perfect your way.

March 2009 Affirmations

Use the Power of your spoken word to say these Affirmations for yourself at least twice every day throughout this month of March:

Money is not evil and I am making peace with money.

Money comes to me easily and I use money wisely.

I save ten cents of every dollar I make each week.

I am a money magnet!

Money is not hard to get.

I always have enough money to pay my bills.

My thoughts create everything in my life experience.

Thank you God-in-me.

Now go forth into March knowing and believing you are a child of the Creator therefore you deserve all the Good of your Father. In Luke 15:31 the Scriptures say, “And he [the Father] said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine.” Rejoice and become excited about the things you are creating 2009 and begin working your new plan to acquire all the good you desire.  There is only one economy and that is God’s Economy, Thought. Remember, your good comes to you according to your Faith through planning and by taking the corresponding actions.
