Will The Real Jesus Please Stand Up?

The next stop on our Kingdom Within takes us to Rev. Ike’s teaching, “Will The Real Jesus Please Stand Up?” found in Chapter 15 of his Science of Living Study Guide. Now, here is the April 2009 message from Rev. Ike.

Consciousness is ALL there is – I am that I am

In the Kingdom of God, the Kingdom of Divine Consciousness, there is no healing because there is no sickness! Say to yourself aloud, “I AM the very self-awareness of HEALTH.” This affirmation is not only healing, it is better than healing. It is recognition of your “I AM-ness.” We can say the same thing for happiness, for love, for success, and for prosperity.

Affirmation #1
     I AM the very self-awareness of HAPPINESS.

Affirmation #2
     I AM THE very self-awareness of LOVE.

Affirmation #3
     I AM the very self-awareness of SUCCESS.

Affirmation #4
     I AM the very self-awareness of PROSPERITY.

We can even say the same thing for money:

Affirmation #5
     I AM the very self-awareness of money.

I AM the very self-awareness of that power which gets, that power which obtains, that power which acquires. Consciousness is the only currency, and currency is only consciousness.

The Attracting Power of Self-Awareness

It is with your self-awareness that you also purchase happiness. See yourself as that person who is happy. And so it is with the infinite currency of self-awareness that you purchase love. See yourself as the person who is loving and being loved. You must feel that you are loving and beloved. You must in your own mind see yourself enjoying love with all of the right people in all of the right relationships for every right purpose. See yourself as love, and you will magnetize yourself to draw the right people to you.

The wrong people won’t be able to touch you. Some people that may be close to you now, they will just go the other way, most of them won’t even know why. You’d be surprised; some people that you have talked to every day, they will just quit calling you, for no apparent reason at all. You won’t hear from them anymore. And those people who drift away from you weren’t right for you anyway. The infinite currency of right self-awareness will draw to you only the right people for every right purpose.

The Technique of Affirmation

You must become skilled in the manipulation of your own self-awareness and you cannot practice too much. There are many ways to do this. Visualization is the cornerstone technique. Another technique that we use in manipulating and mastering self-awareness is affirmation. Sometimes I call it self-definition. You can call it affirmation, self-definition, or you can say “I AM.” Whatever you add to “I AM,” this is what you become. This is what you buy with the currency of your mind.  This technique is another way to develop the currency of self-awareness. If in your mind you affirm, “I AM rich,” then you acquire that. Now, be honest with yourself, do you see what you’ve been buying with the currency of your thoughts over the years?

Your I AM-ness is money. And I’m still saying the same thing about mastering your self-awareness, just in different ways. That which I think I AM is money, because that which I think I AM is that which acquires and accumulates in my experience. Even the Bible says in some of the most mystic words, “Let the weak say, ‘I AM strong.’” Even while you’re in a weak condition, you must affirm that which you wish to be. Your “I AM-ness” is money. Your self-awareness, your visualization and your affirmation are money.

The material stuff is wonderful, but the material money comes from your self-awareness. Self-awareness is cause, material money is effect. You cannot have the effect without the cause.

Who AM I?

Here again is a mystic conversation from the Bible. Jesus asked Peter, “Who do you say that I AM?” It’s a question for each individual to ask himself. Who do you say that you are? Who do I say that I AM? If I say that I AM poor, then the getting power of my self-awareness gets me poverty. If I say that I AM rich, then the getting power of my self-awareness gets me riches. If I say that I AM weak, then the getting power of my self-awareness gets me more weakness. If I say that I AM well, the getting power of my self-awareness gets me health. If I say that I AM strong, the getting power of my self-awareness gets me strength.
                       
Self-awareness is the only currency in the marketplace of life. If you have wealth in your self-definition, it will be the cause for you to have money in your experience.

The Technique of Meditation

Another technique that we use to manipulate self-awareness is meditation. Meditation is a quiet, relaxed, positive state of mind. That’s why I tell you never to pray hard. There should not be any tension in prayers. There should not be any tension in your meditation-and even in your affirmation there should not be tension. You can state your affirmation with enthusiasm, but that enthusiasm should not be tension. That enthusiasm should be excitement and joy.

In meditation we are manipulating self-awareness, but we are still. We are quiet. We are restful. We are relaxing, in a positive state of mind. In meditation we are relaxing in the vision of that which we wish to be, to do, and to have.

Positive Mindedness

How else can we manipulate our self-awareness? You can manipulate your self-awareness by studying positives. I’m so happy to see that you can buy a book on positive mindedness even in the grocery store. And I’m glad to see that so many people are turning to positive mindedness. You should associate with positive-minded people. If you want pie in the sky by-and-by when you die, then you hang out with the sky people. If you want your pie now, with ice cream on top, you hang out with the positive-minded people.

The Law of Mind

So what is money? Money is the getting power of your self-awareness. Money is the getting power of your self-image. And when you have the proper self-awareness, whatever form money takes on the material level, you will have it. When you understand that money is really self-awareness, then inflation won’t bother you.

For in the ultimate concept of money, in the concept of self-awareness, the getting power of your self-awareness is always the same. Money in terms of facts and figures, dollars and cents, may fluctuate, but the getting power of your self-awareness is the Lord. “I AM the Lord, I change not.” (Malachi 3:6)

Maybe a dollar is only worth a dime. Maybe the material economy will get so a dollar is only worth a nickel, but “I AM the Lord, I change not.” My self-concept, my self-awareness is Lord to my experience. And that doesn’t change. As long as I see myself as the one who has all that I need, then I will have all that I need. As long as I have the proper self-awareness, I can be, I can do, and I can have all the good that I desire.

In the marketplace of life the only currency is self-awareness. When you understand how to use your self-awareness as a medium of exchange, there is no end to what you can be, there is no end to what you can do, and there is no end to what you can have. You can buy anything that you want. You can get anything that you desire.

Let’s become aware that we can take our self-awareness and do anything we want to do, be anything we want to be, and have anything we want to have.

DAILY AFFIRMATIONS FOR APRIL

Repeat this affirmation to yourself and get “full of the feeling” as you visualize the good you desire:

Right here and right now I give thanks to the truth that sets me free.

I know that through my own self-awareness I can BE anything I want to be, I can DO anything I want to do, and I can HAVE anything I want to have.

From the crown of my head to the soles of my feet, I re-define my self-image.

I visualize myself as being the kind of person I want to be, DOING the things I want to do, and HAVING the things I Want to have.

I see myself happy, healthy, loving, successful and prosperous.

I see myself with lots and lots of money, serving me for every RIGHT purpose. I don’t serve money. Money serves me.

Everywhere I look I see money! Money! Money!

God bless money. Thank you God-in-me for money!

Now go forth into April knowing and believing you are a child of the Creator therefore you deserve all the Good of your Father. In Luke 15:31 the Scriptures say, “And he [the Father] said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine.” Rejoice and become excited about the things you are creating 2009 and begin working your new plan to acquire all the good you desire.  There is only one economy and that is God’s Economy, Thought. Remember, your good comes to you according to your Faith through planning and by taking the corresponding actions.
