YOU ARE YOUR SELF-AWARENESS

How to Increase Your Income

I want to talk to you about How to Increase Your Income. Even if there’s someone reading this that thinks, “Rev. Ike, I don’t even have any income to increase,” I’m going to help you, too.  But first, I want to be sure that you want your income increased, and I want to give you some words of caution, for some, your income is going to increase in w regular way, but for others, very dramatic things are going to happen in your life, some things that the intellect does not anticipate—some of you may fired or laid-off.

I want you to understand, you’re dealing with an expert, and this stuff works.

I want to repeat it again, some of you are going to get fired or laid-off, and you’re going to say, “Oh, my God, I wanted Rev. Ike to tell me how to increase my income and now I don’t have a job.”

You see the whole thing is some of you would never go any further unless you got shaken loose from what you were holding onto.

Some dramatic things are going to begin to happen. For some of you, your income will be increased in predictable ways.  But many of you, your income will be increased in unpredictable ways. 

In life what you have to do is get on the business end of everything.  There is money on the business end of everything.  Every time I see these portable toilets in the middle of the street on construction sites, it shows you can even get on the business end of anything and make money. Back many years, I was strolling along, looking in the windows of the expensive shops in Beverly Hills. I noticed a young man driving along in his beautiful Cadillac—the car really caught my attention. I saw him looking at me because he was driving slowly on that busy straight. He finally parked, jumped out of the car and ran up to me and said, “Rev. Ike, I saw you and I had to stop. I want to tell you how you changed my life. I and my father and my family came to Los Angeles a few years ago with something like $47.00 between them. I got a job on a building cleaning crew—you know crews who clean buildings at night.”

As he spoke, tears started running from his eyes. He continued, “While I was cleaning these public restrooms, the idea came to why don’t I get on the business end of cleaning?”  And he said, “Rev. Ike, I got on the business end of this cleaning,” and he said, “I approached several big bank buildings, fabulous buildings.” He stood there in Beverly Hills and pointed them out to me.  He said, “I’ve got a contract for cleaning that one, I’ve got a contract for cleaning that one, I’ve got crews in there cleaning them now,” while he’s driving around in his Cadillac.

By now the young man is so excited, “Rev. Ike, I can hardly believe it. But standing here right now talking to you,” he said, “I’m making $10,000 a month cleaning up.”  You see some of you just don’t know how to clean up on higher levels.

Some of you only know how to clean up the mess; you’d better learn how to clean up money.  This is a very important point, while he was on that cleaning crew, he did a good job.  He didn’t go around grumbling, “Why, do I have to do this?”  He did a good job, he smiled and when he went back and approached these businessmen, they remembered him. He also made a beautiful racial observation, he said, “Rev. Ike all of the people that I approached in these big buildings were white people and they were glad to give me an opportunity.”  If your attitude is right even race won’t hold you back. 

I want to set your subconscious mind up to be receptive to increasing your income. If you want to increase your income, I want you to say three times out loud:

Affirmation #1
I want to increase my income. I want to increase my income. I want to increase my income.

Your income is first appropriated in your own mind.  This may be a revelation to some of you, but nobody determines your income but you. 

Your boss does not determine your income.  Now, I know that may take a few moments to seep in, but I want to give you that responsibility and it’s not only a responsibility, it’s authority, you have authority over your income.  Your income is first appropriated in your own mind.  How much can you see yourself with?  How much can you feel yourself with?  How much can you accept?  And you have to work with your mind so that you are mentally comfortable with greater amounts of money.

Now as for money, there’s a lot of money but you have to appropriate it.  There is no lack of money, either spiritually, mentally or materially. There is never a shortage of money, so wipe that out of your head.  There is never a shortage of money, even on the material economy side of things, what really happens when money gets tight is that there’s a lack of circulation. 

Your income is first appropriated in your own mind.  Another statement of Mind Science added to this, which is really the same, all experience is first established in the mind.

Affirmation #2
All experience is first established in mind.

Before you receive any money in your hand, you must first receive it in your mind.  Before money gets into your pockets, it must first get in your mind.

Before that new car gets into your garage, it must first get in your mind.

Before any good can come into your experience, it must first come into your mind, and I have the greatest authority in the Scriptures for what I’m telling you, in the 12th Chapter, the Book of Romans. We are told, “Be you transformed” how, by the renewing of your mind.

I want to be redundant about this point because this is the key—it’s a Money key, it’s a Healing key, it’s a Blessing key, it’s a Love key, it’s a Success key, it’s a Prosperity key. 

Affirmation #3
Before anything comes into my experience it must first come into my mind.

This key is so simple I don’t want you to miss it and again I want to be redundant, the Bible says, “Be you transformed by the renewing of your mind.”

You want a greater income, you want more money, let it into your mind.  Now there’s another way of saying it, the Evangelists say it, and it’s said religiously this way, “Let Jesus come into your heart.”  Whatever you want, let it come into your mind, let it come into your heart and by the way in the Scripture when you read the word “heart,” it refers to the deeper mind.  You are not going to get any more money until you let some more money into your mind.

Affirmation #4
Right now I use the key of knowledge. I open my mind to a greater income, to a greater enjoyment of Health, Happiness, Love, Success, Prosperity, and Money.

If you want to be successful in life in anything, you must first be successful in your mind.  Nothing comes into your experience unless it comes through your mind either consciously or unconsciously. 

I’m teaching you self-responsibility; you are responsible for your own experience. But here is where human nature, human self comes in.  The human self fights self-responsibility. “Rev. Ike, don’t tell me I’m responsible, the rich folks deprive me. . .” “This economy. . .” “We are culturally deprived, underprivileged.”  If you get that in your mind, you’re done.  The key is everything comes to me through my mind.

Affirmation #5
Everything comes to me through my mind, consciously or unconsciously.

Be you transformed by the renewing of your mind.

You have to get a new idea about yourself; the truest form of money is your own self-esteem.  The only thing that you really have to offer in the marketplace of life is your own self-esteem, and when you get a new idea about yourself, you’ll have new experiences.

Here is another verse of Scripture, Keep your heart with all diligence for out of it are the issues of life. Our income is first appropriated in our own mind.  When my mind flashes back to my childhood, I remember when we drank skim milk, when we could get it, and we didn’t drink it because we were dieting.  I used to go around to those wonderful wealthy people’s backdoors taking any skim milk left over after they had made butter out of the cream.  

The good news is you don’t have to drink the dregs after everybody else has taken the good out of it.  What did the Bible say even in the Old Testament, the Lord God promised that if we serve Him, that we would be the head and not the tail.”

Affirmation #6
I am the head and not the tail.

I encourage you, motivate you and inspire you to be the head. 

Affirmation #7
I serve a first-class God.

How do we mentally appropriate anything?  How do we establish something in the mind?  First, I say by realization.  Realization that means that first, in your mind, in your heart, you must think and say I can.

Affirmation #8
Yes, I can.

Now that’s realization. Dr. Norman Vincent Peale says it this way, “you can if you think you can.” 

Affirmation #9
I can because I think I can.

I can because I think I can.

Now that’s still Gospel.  Somebody said, “Rev. Ike, you, well, you haven’t brought any Jesus into this.”  Jesus said the same thing.  Jesus said, “All things are possible unto Him who believes.”

How do we mentally appropriate anything?  I said by realization; first I must realize I can.  It doesn’t matter what other people think about you, it only matters what you think about yourself.

I can, I can, I can.

Let’s get down to the how-to. 

There are five keys to increasing your income. I will list them and then I will explain them.

1. Key #1 is realization. 
2. Key #2 is identification. 
3. Key #3 is self-definition. 
4. Key #4 is visualization. 
5. Key #5 is affirmation.

Key #1 Realization
First, you appropriate your increased income or whatever you want by the realization, I can. 

Key #2 Identification
Identification, by way of explanation, means that you identify yourself as the person who has a larger income, in your own mind, you identify yourself as the person who is being what he wants to be, doing what he wants to do and having what you want to have. 

Key #3 Self-Definition
You define yourself as the person who has a larger income, and this is a very important thing.  Don’t let anybody else control your self-definition; don’t let anybody else decide for you what you ought to be, what you ought to do and what you ought to have.

Key #4 Visualization
Visualization, it means that you can see yourself being, doing and having the good that you desire.  This is so important, because what you see is what you get.

Key #5 Affirmation
Affirmation means that you think and say I am.  Your thoughts, moods and attitudes are constantly saying I am.  Who do you say you are?

Never use your self-definition carelessly; never joke about your self-definition.  Don’t misuse your I am.  I am is the self-definition of the Infinite, whatever you add to I am, you become.  This is why I tell you almost every message, the mystic words of the Prophet, “Let the weak say I am strong.”

Even if the feeling and the appearance of weakness presents itself, say “I am strong.”

To get back to Christianity for a moment, you have to confess Christ.  To confess Christ means to realize and to know within your heart I am God’s offspring.  It means to say within your heart the Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.  It means to confess plenty, instead of poverty. 

When we mentally establish something, we are drawn to it and it to us.  When you mentally establish something and you get in this habit of mentally establishing something realizing, identifying, self-defining, visualizing, and affirming yourself as that which you wish to be, to do and to have, you will find that things will start coming to you.

Here again the mystic words of the Bible, Look unto me and I’ll show you, I’ll show you great things that you know not of.  We are guided as what to do and how to do when we open our minds to the good that we desire.

Let’s become aware that we can take our self-awareness and do anything we want to do, be anything we want to be, and have anything we want to have.

DAILY AFFIRMATIONS FOR May

Repeat this affirmation to yourself and get “full of the feeling” as you visualize the good you desire:

Right here and right now I see myself creating all the money I need.

All experience is first established in mind. Before anything comes into my experience it must first come into my mind.

I can because I think I can.

Now go forth into May knowing and believing you are a child of the Creator therefore you deserve all the Good of your Father. In Luke 15:31 the Scriptures say, “And he [the Father] said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine.” Rejoice and become excited about the things you are creating 2009 and begin working your new plan to acquire all the good you desire.  There is only one economy and that is God’s Economy, Thought. Remember, your good comes to you according to your Faith through planning and by taking the corresponding actions.

EVERYTIME YOU SOW EXPECT TO RECEIVE A HARVEST OF MONEYMAKING IDEAS AND ANSWERS.

At this time, we ask you to sow a I-AM-More-Income-NOW offering into this Ministry if this teaching has helped you realize your identity in God. Always use the Power of your spoken words to say these Affirmations aloud in order to prepare the fertile ground of your subconscious mind for saying YES to the Goodness of God:

I AM the very SELF-AWARENESS of PROSPERITY, LOVE, HEALTH, and SUCCESS therefore money flows into my hands easily and constantly!

I gladly bring my tithes and offerings into God’s storehouse that God may reveal His mysteries to me and bury them in my heart.

I expect the LORD to give me an idea that will solve a problem for others and they will pay me for my solution.

I expect the LORD to protect my home and my finances as I honor His Universal Law. My offering opens the door to my blessings.
